Sound Bath

Some information about Crystal singing bowls and Sound baths

Is a sound bath for you?

Do you feel stressed, anxious? Do you want to feel relax and unwind? Or find it hard to relax and unwind? Are you having that nightmare week? This sound bath could be just the ticked. Fully relaxing. Fully unwinding. The perfect way to end your week and start your weekend.

What Is A Crystal Sound Bath?

No need to bring a swimsuit along, because there isn’t any water (or actual bathing) involved at all.

Instead, a crystal sound bath harnesses the reverberating sounds and vibrations of The crystal Singing bowls, to lull you into a peaceful, relaxed and mindful state of being.

Then Lie down. Listen. And Let go.
Sound healing (also known as sound therapy or sound meditation) is comparable to meditation and mindfulness, but with no effort required on behalf of the participant. The sound does the work. Sound-baths are for everyone interested in finding a way to relax, sleep better, de-stress and declutter the mind.

You participate by “lying down, listening and letting go” while I play instruments including crystal bowls, chimes and ocean drums. You are surrounded by the sounds and vibrations which result in a deep sense of wellbeing and calm. You might fall asleep. That’s ok. You can feel very relaxed. The sound bath still works even if you sleep the whole way through. If you struggle lying down, you can sit or bring anything that will aid in your ability to relax and get comfy.

7 bowls, one tuned to each of the 7 chakras, to balance, restore and heal. Experience deep relaxation as soothing tones from the singing bowls resonate with, and gently rebalance the body’s energy centres, to promote physical, emotional and spiritual well being

The meditation and sound bath can be deeply relaxing and restoring.

Here are a few benefits of sound healing:

•Calms your body and mind.
•Reduces stress and anxiety.
•Increases focus and clarity.
•Decreases tension and fatigue.
•Boosts your mood.
•Improves sleep.
•Elevates feelings of spiritual well-being

How to prepare for your sound bath:

-Keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Sound waves travel better through water. When you are well hydrated, you will have a better experience.
-Eat light and healthy food. A sound bath becomes more impactful when you have an empty stomach.
-Set your intentions and be positive. Sound baths can been deeply relaxing but they can also go deeply into emotions. Be willing to relax and let go as you move through the sound bath and whatever comes up for you. -Wear warm, comfortable and flexible clothing.
-Try to arrive 5 minutes prior to your sound bath to settle yourself in the space with a calm mind.
-you might fall asleep. That’s ok. You can feel very relaxed. The sound bath still works on a cellular level even if you sleep the whole way through.

What to bring:

Bring anything you need to make yourself cozy as the more comfortable you are the more you will relax. That means blankets, pillows, fluffy socks, hot water bottles, sleeping bags. There really is no limits. I’ve seen people turn up to sound baths with camping beds.

Most people lie down so you will need something to lie comfortably on. Or if you struggle to lie down you can sit there is always chairs available. I also have some fun ways to use bolsters and blocks to support your body if lying flat isn’t comfortable for you.

Wear comfy cloths. Leggings or joggers and warm layers as the body temperature drops when relaxed.
I understand we don’t all have a cupboard full of yoga props so mats, bolsters, blocks and eye pillows can be provided by Lisa but please get in touch before the workshop so she knows what to bring.

Everyone and anyone is welcome. This can be an enjoyable experience for men and women of all ages. And there is zero experience needed.

So if you are a complete newbie or a seasoned sound-bather, there is something for everyone. Every session is a new and enjoyable experience.
